While a century ago there were 100.000 humpback whales, today there are only 10.000 left, because humans did not tolerate the whales. People hunt them for oil, soap and making cat food. In 1966, the world and its countries decided that whale hunting would be from now on illegal. Sadly, the hunting continued secretly. Greenpeace, which was founded in 1970, is since then publicly active in saving threatened and endangered whales. Through crazy actions, they help to keep the ocean healthy, because dirty oceans mean no whales. There is still a lot of work, but one question remains: When the humpbacks are back, will the industry tolerate them?
